Sana Behavioral Hospital’s mission is to provide a healing environment where patients feel safe and well cared for. We are committed to making a positive contribution to the communities and people we serve.
Our patients receive personalized care through an integrated team of caregivers led by a board-certified psychiatrist and board-certified internal or family medicine physician. Together, we focus on the physical and psychiatric care of patients age 50 and older.
Our behavioral health hospitals provide acute inpatient care and are licensed by the state where operating. We are a private corporation established in 2018, with plans to continue building hospitals and bringing excellent care to communities where we may serve the psychiatric health needs of older adults.
Are you a healthcare professional who is passionate about the health and well-being of older adults? If so, you might belong on our team that strives to have a positive influence on the perception of mental healthcare in the communities we serve.
Sana Behavioral Hospital offers competitive compensation and benefits, and our hospitals provide you with a supportive and rewarding environment where your professional experience is valued.

Here’s some information to assist with understanding Sana’s medical billing.
The amount a hospital bills for a patient’s care is known as the “charge.” This is not the same as the actual cost or amount paid for the care. The amount collected by a hospital for each service is almost always less than the amount billed. Our Financial Counselor is available for you to determine a more accurate estimate of what Sana’s care and services will cost for you or your loved one.
Each patient’s case is unique, and their bill for services will reflect their individual treatment plan and needs. For example, if two patients have the same service or procedure but one has a chronic illness and another doesn’t, it is likely that the patient with the chronic illness would need more intensive care, thus creating a bill with higher charges than the healthy patient’s bill.
Insurance coverage also affects the amount billed for a patient’s care. We negotiate discounted rates with insurance companies and if yours is in network with our hospital, you will be responsible for a lower amount than someone with out-of-network coverage or no insurance.
Patients with no insurance or with financial difficulty may receive discounted rates based on their income. Our Financial Counselor will help you determine your eligibility for these discounts.
Your personal physician or other physicians providing you with services related to, or during, your hospital stay or visit will bill you separately. This can include fees related to specialists, pathologists and radiologists.
Independent laboratory and radiology services may also bill you separately for reading and interpreting EKGs, X-rays, EEGs and lab work.
